Biography
Kathryn Warren currently serves as the Installation Manager for the Onward to Opportunity program (O2O), formerly known as the Veteran Career Transition Program (VCTP), for Camp Pendleton and San Diego, California. She is responsible for the local management, coordination and administration of the IVMF’s O2O program that provides professional certification and job placement support to transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kathryn served for over 26 years as a career Defense Financial Manager Officer, serving in various senior finance leadership positions throughout the United States, overseas, and in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on active duty she has held positions such as the Operations Officer for the largest Marine Finance Office located at Camp Pendleton which provided accounting and financial oversight to five military installations in the southwest region of the United States, Finance Director for MCRD San Diego and MCAGCC 29 Palms, and managed multiple Finance programs for the Marine Corps which included partnerships with the US Treasury, Federal Reserve Banks, and JP Morgan Chase.
Upon completion of active duty, Kathryn worked as a store manager for the Target Corporation and served on the executive team of several stores in San Diego County. She managed and supervised all aspects of store operations to include human resources and payroll, productivity with all team employees, store management daily operations, sales floor profitability, and customer service relations for an organization that produced over $40M in annual sales.
Kathryn also worked as a Department of Labor career transition workshop facilitator at assigned locations throughout San Diego County. She delivered comprehensive workshops to large diverse groups at the mid and senior management level by facilitating relevant and progressive instruction to transitioning service members and their spouses in the areas of employment, higher education, and vocational/technical disciplines.
Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Human
Resources from Park University and received her MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, attending their Executive MBA program.
